Life Legacy
Concepcion C. Vargas of Dover died Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Christiana Care Hospital, New Castle. She was 62.
Ms. Vargas was born October 8, 1948 in Laredo, Texas to the late Rosalio and Carlota Vargas.
She served in the United States Army W.A.C during the Vietnam War. Ms. Vargas had worked for the State of Maryland in the Governor’s office. She had previously worked for the University of Texas Hospital, John Hopkins Hospital, Ncall Research and Del Tech Community College. Ms. Vargas had been a Girl Scout Leader and on the Caesar Rodney Band Boosters. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover and formerly of the Camden Wyoming Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Juan Vargas.
Ms. Vargas is survived by sons, Robert Judd of San Antonio, TX, Jon A. Judd of Dover, DE, Salvador Judd and his wife Laurie of Milford, DE, Charles D. Judd and his wife Krystyl of Salisbury, MD; daughter, Rosalie Vargas of Felton; brothers, Pasquel, Salvador and Raymond Vargas; sisters, Maria Alvarado and Maggie Vargas; grandsons, Austin and Christian Chilton, William, Charles and Daulton Judd; granddaughters, Christina and Cynthia Collette and Alaina Judd.
Funeral service s will be held 8pm Monday June 27, 2011 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (rt.10) Dover. Friends may call from 7-9pm. Interment will be in San Antonio, TX.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral costs.
